Strongest value to this bike is its compactness. It can live in the back of your car. The 20 inch tires are perfect. Drawback is that it maxes out kind of quick and you'll outgrow it. Ideal for apartments and last mile commutes. I would like to see this model without chain/shifter/pedals - just throttle and thicker battery.

I have found that the Rad trike can be tipped over when taking a corner or high siding a rear wheel when turning a corner. Always use caution and ride at your ability.

Totally attracted to this bike with the pinion gearing. Though, I’d pay more if it had suspension (preferably full suspension -and on a folding frame?), a torque sensor, a mid-drive motor (not compatible with pinion, I think?), throttle on-demand, perhaps larger diameter wheels for better control and feel, and a battery to go from Mason to the Ohio River (downtown Cincinnati) and back. Maybe 4-ish hours/46miles? total ride time/distance round trip? Think about it. Woah. Lectric could do this if they wanted. They’d make awesome, AWESOME competition to Biktrix, Aventon, Rad, etc.

The frame creaks in your video and in every other video I've seen seems to be a noisy bike and should be mentioned properly online also mentioned the bike frame is very loud and common complaint about bottom bracket

#1 Only 2-3 locks are angle grinder resistant Dx1000/D1000 and Litelock, #2 Airtag your bike and disable the speaker. #3 if your bike is worth $2000+ get insurance with Velosurance a $2000 bike 100% payout has a $200 deductible and the policy is $150 per year, they dont devalue the payout like most insurance companies do, they pay exactly dollar amount you insured.

Honestly anyone that's asking more the 350 is ripping you off , the bikes throttle is made of cheap material , it can break easily if you take a speed bumb a little to fast. Also finding a mechanic to fix one isn't impossible but is a hassle.

Under 50lbs means I can take it on Amtrak. I don’t think you can charge them on Amtrak btw. Do these need to be checked (without battery)? I like the idea of train travel and having this bike as instant transportation wherever I end up without relying on Uber so much. My current e-bike needs a pickup truck to carry it around. It’s blinged out for utility and probably weighs over 100lbs. This looks like it will fit in the trunk of my Camry. I think I want one.

Boy do you sugar coat your reviews. The seat is nothing short of a bad joke and taper on seat post where seat attaches doesn't meet a standard so you must replace both seat and post if you wish to switch out seat. Chain hitting center kickstand is not a minor issue; it's a major over-site and a design flaw on the part of Rad. A minor inexpensive design change to kickstand would completely eliminate matter. Then there's the issue of their alleged 750 Watt motors which are in fact 500 Watt motors; the Rad Runner and RadWagon 4 are fine examples. Rad has a history of deception regarding claims about their products and their accessories fetch a premium price. Two half ass plastic fenders which should be stock items cost $70 to $80 US. I have no idea why so many are loyal to Rad giving there history of deception along with serious recall issues with frames and tires. Hell, Rad has denied warranty coverage for some of it's customers simply because of rain infiltrating it's electronics with subsequent failure.... Ridiculous!

Although I knew that an e-bike was water resistance and not proof, it's good to hear that the hub motor is well protected and can withstand riding in the rain. Also, that the controller is more vulnerable than the motor and would have to be submerge in water in order to fail. I would like to add to also carry a spare inner tube just in case of a blowout with the appropriate wrenches to loosen the axels, as well as spare brake cables and brake pads. And are you snapping brake cables way too often? I finally realized that I was over tightening them, 'excessive torque' at the brake caliper, and that stopped the problem. Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge !!

Why they can’t design these things with a way to lock your seat! I’m looking at another bike with battery in the seat. Folding bikes are designed for convenience. Some manufacturer has to think about this

I'm trying to figure out why electric bikes exist. After all, bicycles are for exercise, and are the greenest transportation on the planet, yet I never see any of these reviewers, or ANYONE, riding these, PEDALLING! BTW my early 1980s Centurion Super Elite, weighed 19.8 lbs.

This is the perfect bike for me, a 69 year old kinda out of shape guy but still loves to ride. Too bad it didn't do well. I was waiting to see if Trek would upgrade it with the Ride 60 motor. No more waiting, had to get one before they are all gone. I also have a Specialized Epic Evo and this E-Caliber 9.8 XT rides so much like the Epic Evo with just the right amount of help. Going downhill I can't really tell much difference, going up hill though, so much better on the Trek. I like the Fazua motor more than the TQ motor. I don't know Trek, maybe you should think about making the E-Caliber with a TQ motor. Lightweight EMTB's are kinda a thing now.

Virginia is the video highlight. Good ebike but I would put swept back cruiser narrow handlebar and suspension seat post plus compfy seat.
